Tavaly új munkát kaptam, és sokkal több pénzt kezdtem keresni/keresni. Rájöttem, hogy megengedhetem magamnak, hogy a szokásosnál több pénzt költsek a nyaralásra, és úgy döntöttem, hogy egy hónapot Ausztráliában töltök. Tudtam, hogy ott meleg lesz, ezért nem kell meleg ruhát vinnem magammal. Valójában pólót és farmert viseltem egész idő alatt, amíg ott voltam. Természetesen kalapot is mindig viseltem, hogy megvédjen a naptól. Fantasztikus volt ott. Egy hetet Sydneyben töltöttem városnézéssel, a maradék időt pedig azzal töltöttem, hogy körbeutaztam az országot. Még azt az életre szóló vágyamat is megvalósítottam, hogy megsimogassak egy koalát.

Last year I got a new job and started earning/making a lot more money. I realised I could afford to spend more money on my holiday than I usually do and decided to spend a month in Australia. I knew it would be hot there and so I wouldn’t need to take warm clothes with me. In fact, I wore a t-shirt and jeans all the time I was there. I wore a hat all the time too, of course, to protect me from the sun. It was fantastic there. I spent a week sightseeing in Sydney and then spent the rest of the time travelling round the country. I even achieved my lifelong ambition of stroking a koala.
