Remark | Adverbs describe how, when or where someone does something. There are many types of adverbs: of manner, frequency, time, place or direction. Most adverbs of manner add –ly to the adjective. But there are some irregular adverbs that do not have the –ly form. The adverbs ‘fast’, ‘hard’, ‘high’, ‘long’, ‘low’, ‘near’, ‘late’ and ‘early’ have the same form as adjectives. |
