Drug Tested Healthy Dose Group Results Volunteers Making

Clinical trials test drugs on healthy volunteers for safety, then on patients to find the optimum dose, compare the drug against a placebo, and require peer review before publication.

Los ensayos clínicos prueban los medicamentos en voluntarios sanos para determinar la seguridad, luego en pacientes para encontrar la dosis óptima, comparan el medicamento con un placebo y requieren revisión por pares antes de la publicación.

Original 1) Drug tested on healthy volunteers, making sure it doesn't have any harmful side effects when the body is normally working - at start of trial, a very low dose of the drug is given and is gradually increased
2) If results on healthy volunteers are good, drugs tested on people suffering from illness so the optimum dose is found
3) To test how well the drug works, patients are put into 2 groups: one group gets drug other group gets placebo
4) Results aren't published until rigorously peer reviewed, helping to prevent false claims
