Phase Clinical Trials Drug Double Blind Sick Patients Placebo

In the third phase of clinical trials, the drug undergoes double-blind trials where over 3000 sick patients receive either the drug or a placebo, unbeknownst to both the doctor and the patient.

Back The drug goes through double-blind trials. 3000+ sick patients are either given the drug, or a placebo. Neither the doctor nor the patient knows who has the placebo, so that there is no bias.
