When a cell becomes concentrated due to a lack of water, water moves into it via osmosis from a more dilute solution outside the cell.
If a cell lacks water, it becomes more concentrated, causing water to move into the cell by osmosis from a more dilute external solution.
Front | What happens when a cell is short of water during osmosis? |
---|---|
Back | The cell will become quite concentrated, this usually means the solution outside the cell is more dilute, so water will move into the cell by osmosis. |
