Chlorophyll Limiting Factor Photosynthesis Amount Plant Affected Disease

The amount of chlorophyll can be a limiting factor if it's damaged by disease or environmental stress, reducing light absorption and thus the rate of photosynthesis.

La cantidad de clorofila puede ser un factor limitante si está dañada por enfermedades o estrés ambiental (falta de nutrientes), reduciendo la absorción de luz y, por lo tanto, la tasa de fotosíntesis.

Front How can chlorophyll be a limiting factor of photosynthesis?
Back The amount of chlorophyll in a plant can be affected by disease (like TMV) or environmental stress (lack of nutrients). These factors can cause chloroplasts to become damaged or to not make enough chlorophyll. This means the rate of photosynthesis is reduced because they can't absorb as much light.
