GCSE Biology Paper 1 (9-1 Exams)
Transpiration Uptake Water Record Air Bubble Set Investigation
Front |
How can we set up an investigation to investigate transpiration rate? |
Back |
- We estimate the rate of transpiration by measuring the uptake of water by a plant
- Use a potometer to measure the uptake of water
- Record the starting position of the air bubble
- Start a stopwatch, record the distance moved by the bubble per unit of time
- Keep conditions constant throughout the experiment (e.g. temperature, air humidity)
