Artery Epigastric Ascends Inferior Structure Vessels Arising External

Front Inferior epigastric artery
Back Structure: vessels arising from the external iliac artery at the mid-inguinal point. Ascends superomedially to cross into rectus abdominis, where it ascends and anastomoses with the superior epigastric artery

Function: provides blood to lower abdominal wall and provides a collateral pathway around normal aortic flow
