Intercostal Anterior Arteries Anastomose Posterior Structure Arise Internal

Front Anterior intercostal arteries
Back Structure: arise from the internal thoracic artery and course within the intercostal spaces from anterior to midaxillary line, where they anastomose with posterior intercostal arteries.

Function:
1. Supply blood to anterior chest wall
2. Anastomose with posterior intercostal arteries to provide collateral pathways between ascending and descending aorta
