Period Atria Ventricles Diastole Mechanism Ventricular Relaxation/Dialation Contracting

Back Mechanism: period of ventricular relaxation/dialation when the atria are contracting. Aortic and pulmonary valves close ("DUB").

Function: allows the blood to be pumped from the atria into the ventricles -- period during which the ventricles fill with blood.
