Pleura Function Lung Pleural Adhesions Structure Places Visceral

Back Structure: places where the visceral pleura (lung) and parietal pleura (chest wall/mediastinum) are fused together by scar tissue from disease or injury.

Function: limits normal lung function by restricting independent sliding movement of the lung relative to the body wall
