Rectus Sheath Abdominus Muscle Anterior Structure Fibrous Connective

Front Rectus sheath
Back Structure: the fibrous connective tissue layer that encases the rectus abdominus muscle

a) anterior sheath covers that entire anterior side of the muscle
b) posterior sheath ends approximately halfway between umbilicus adn pubis at arcuate line.

Function: formed from the fusion of the abdominal obliques' aponeurosis, protects and secures the rectus abdominus
