Superficial Pulmonary Plexus Structure Series Lympathic Vessels Located

Back Structure: a series of lympathic vessels located on the outer surface of the lung just deep to the visceral pleura (visible as dark lines)

Function: trapping particulate matter that was inhaled into the lungs and ingested by macrophages in the connective tissue spaces between bronchopulmonary segments and subsegments.
