Carrier proteins are integral glycoproteins that bind specific solutes and undergo conformational changes to translocate them across the membrane. They can also be involved in active transport by moving molecules against their concentration gradients using ATP.
Carrier proteins are integral glycoproteins that bind to and transport specific solutes across the membrane through conformational changes. They can also move molecules against concentration gradients when ATP is present, thus participating in active transport.
