Factor B is a protein in the alternative pathway of complement activation, in which it is cleaved to Ba and an active protease, Bb, the latter binding to C3b to form the alternative pathway C3 convertase, C3bBb.
El factor B es una proteína en la vía alternativa de la activación del complemento, en la que se escinde en Ba y una proteasa activa, Bb, siendo esta última la que se une a C3b para formar la C3 convertasa de la vía alternativa, C3bBb.
