The PYHIN family is a family of four intracellular sensor proteins containing an HIN domain in place of the LRR domain found in most other NLR proteins. The HIN domain functions in recognition of cytoplasmic dsDNA. Examples are AIM2 and IFI16.
La familia PYHIN es una familia de cuatro proteínas sensoras intracelulares que contienen un dominio HIN en lugar del dominio LRR que se encuentra en la mayoría de las otras proteínas NLR. El dominio HIN funciona en el reconocimiento de dsDNA citoplasmático. Ejemplos son AIM2 e IFI16.
