Abatacept is an Fc fusion protein containing the extracellular domain of CTLA-4, used in treating rheumatoid arthritis by blocking T-cell co-stimulation through binding to B7 molecules.

Abatacept is een Fc-fusie-eiwit dat het extracellulaire domein van CTLA-4 bevat en gebruikt wordt bij de behandeling van reumatoïde artritis. Het blokkeert de co-stimulatie van T-cellen door te binden aan B7-moleculen.
