Interferon Genes Dimeric Protein Complex Cytoplasm Anchored Er

STING (stimulator of interferon genes) is a dimeric cytoplasmic protein complex anchored to the ER membrane that senses infection by activating TBK1, which then phosphorylates IRF3 to induce type I interferon genes.
