Mannose-binding lectin (MBL) is a protein present in the blood. It can opsonize pathogens bearing mannose on their surfaces and can activate the complement system via the lectin pathway, an important part of innate immunity.
La lectina de unión a manosa (MBL) es una proteína presente en la sangre. Puede opsonizar patógenos que tienen manosa en sus superficies y puede activar el sistema del complemento a través de la vía lectina, una parte importante de la inmunidad innata.
