Membrane cofactor of proteolysis (MCP) or CD46 is a complement regulatory protein, a host-cell membrane protein that acts in conjunction with factor I to cleave C3b to its inactive derivative iC3b and thus prevent convertase formation.
La membrana cofactor de proteólisis (MCP) o CD46 es una proteína reguladora del complemento, una proteína de membrana de células del huésped que actúa junto con el factor I para escindir C3b a su derivado inactivo iC3b y prevenir así la formación de convertasa.
