MAVS (mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein) is a CARD-containing adaptor protein attached to the outer mitochondrial membrane that signals downstream of RIG-I and MDA-5 to activate IRF3 and NFκB in response to viral infection.
MAVS (proteína de señalización antiviral mitocondrial) es una proteína adaptadora que contiene CARD y está unida a la membrana mitocondrial externa, que señala aguas abajo de RIG-I y MDA-5 para activar IRF3 y NFκB en respuesta a la infección viral.
