Severe Autoinflammatory Disease Inherited Autosomal Recessive Disorder Caused

Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is a severe, autosomal recessive autoinflammatory disease caused by mutations in the MEFV gene encoding pyrin, which spontaneously activates inflammasomes.
