Thymic Cells Outer Region Lobule Progenitor Thymocytes Proliferate

The thymic cortex is the outer region of each thymic lobule where thymic progenitor cells (thymocytes) proliferate, rearrange their T-cell receptor genes, and undergo thymic selection, particularly positive selection.
