Scots Bible Fail Standardised Education Language Scotland  Books

Front Why did Scots fail to become standardised?
Back
Mainly through education. It was not a language of education in Scotland, and books were mainly published in Southern English, while there was also no Scots bible.
However, the main reason was the Scottish defeat at the Battle of Flodden, which weakened the government and left it susceptible to Protestant Reformation, not helped by the aforementioned lack of a Scots bible.
