8) Personality Disorders - impaired functioning of at least two of the following: cognition, emotions, interpersonal functioning, or impulse control
-ego-dsytonic - behavior intrusive & thrust upon them
-ego-syntonic - behavior correct & in harmony with their goals; personality disorders are this

Cluster A(odd/eccentric):

-Paranoid - mistrust of other's motives; can be prodromal phase of schizophrenia
-Schizoid - detachment from social relationship/restricted range of emotional expression
-Schizotypal - pattern of eccentric thinking
--ideas of reference - similar to delusions of reference, but not as intense
--magical thinking - superstitiousness/belief in clairvoyance


Cluster B(Attention Seeking/Impulse control):

-Narcissistic - grandiose sense of self importance 
-Histrionic - attention seeking behavior
-Antisocial - 3x males, pattern of violation of rights of others; 20-40% prison population
-Borderline - 2x female, instability in interpersonal behavior/mood/self image
--Splitting - view others as either all good or all bad

Cluster C(Anxious/Fearful):

-Dependent - need for reassurance, need decisions made for them
-Avoidant - extreme shyness, fear of rejection, stay in the same lifestyle
-Obsessive-Compulsive - perfectionistic tendences, like rules and order
