Cell Phase  Dna Make Cycle Presynthetic Gap/G1 Creating

The cell cycle includes the G1 (presynthetic) phase for organelle creation, the S phase for DNA replication, and the G2 (postsynthetic) phase for checking organelles and DNA. The G2/M checkpoint ensures sufficient cell size and proper DNA replication, involving the p53 protein.

Cell Cycle:

Presynthetic gap::G1 - creating organelles Phase
Synthesis of DNA::S - replicating DNA for each daughter cell Phase
Postsynthetic gap::G2 - check to make sure there are enough organelles/cytoplasm and DNA replicated correctly Phase
G2/M::cell checks to make sure it is large enough and has been properly replicated, p53 plays a role checkpoint
restriction point::must be passed to reach next stage of cell cycle
