Pneumonia is a bacterial disease caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae, infecting the alveoli of the lungs and leading to respiration problems; in severe cases, lips and fingernails may turn grey to blue, and it is transmitted by droplet infection.
