Dna Ice Making Host Competetnt Hydrophilic Passage Cell

DNA is hydrophilic and doesn't easily pass through the cell membrane. To make bacterial cells competent, they are treated with a specific concentration of a divalent cation, incubated with DNA on ice, then briefly placed at 42°C, and put back on ice.

Front Making host competetnt
Back dna is hydrophilic -no passage through cell membrane

so bacterial cel are treated with a specific con of a divalent cation-DNA enters through pores
-incubated with DNA on ice .then place briefly on 42 and put them back on ice
