Ovules Borne Central Axis Septa Absent Dianthus Primrose

Free central placentation occurs when ovules are borne on the central axis without septa, as in Dianthus and Primrose. Basal placentation features the placenta at the base of the ovary with a single ovule, as in sunflower and marigold.

La placentación de centro libre se da cuando los óvulos están en el eje central sin septos, como en Dianthus y Primrose. La placentación basal tiene la placenta en la base del ovario con un solo óvulo, como en girasol y caléndula.

base of ovary and a single ovule is attached to it, as in sunflower, marigold.
