Bacteria Produce Transgenic Frost Plus Living Plants Changed Frost Minus

Genetically modified bacteria have uses such as preventing frost damage (Frost-minus), producing insect toxins in corn roots, filtering air pollutants, removing sulfur from coal, and producing phenylalanine.

Front Uses of transgenic bacteria
Back • Frost-plus bacteria living on plants have been changed to Frost-minus.
• Bacteria in corn roots can now produce insect toxin.
• Bacteria can be used as filters to prevent release of pollutants into air.
• They can remove Sulphur from coal
• Various bacteria can now produce Phenylalanine (for NutraSweet).
