A false compromise (or middle ground) is a fallacy that asserts a compromise between two positions is correct simply because it is a middle ground.
Ein falscher Kompromiss (oder Mittelweg) ist ein Trugschluss, der behauptet, dass ein Kompromiss zwischen zwei Positionen korrekt ist, nur weil er ein Mittelweg ist.
