Blood Dense Network Renal Medulla Urine Main Areas

The main areas of the kidney are the cortex (where blood is filtered), the medulla (containing renal pyramids with nephrons), and the pelvis (where urine collects before exiting via the ureter).

As principais áreas do rim são o córtex (onde o sangue é filtrado), a medula (contendo pirâmides renais com néfrons) e a pelve (onde a urina se acumula antes de sair pelo ureter).

  • medulla - lighter, The medulla is the inner region of the parenchyma of the kidney, consists of renal pyramids, which are triangle structures that contain a dense network of nephrons.
  • pelvis - central chamber where urine passes before leaving through ureter to bladder, where its stored till nearly filled, where sphinctors open and urine travels through urethra out of body
