Blood Lv Rv Ra Opens Full Contracts Closes

This card meticulously describes the flow of blood through the heart, including the movement of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood, valve function, and differences between the right and left ventricles.

Tato karta podrobně popisuje proudění krve srdcem, včetně pohybu okysličené a okysličené krve, činnosti chlopní a rozdílů mezi pravou a levou komorou z hlediska tlaku a tloušťky stěny.

Front Flow of blood 3.1.2(e)
Back - deoxy from superior/inferior vena cava under low pressure to RA

- as it flows, AV valve opens (tricuspid), blood flows to RV, once both full, RA contracts to move all blood to RV (expands)

- As RV starts to contract, tricuspid closes (prevent backflow to RA, with tendinous chords preventing valves inverting due to RV expanding), RV contracts, pumping blood to pulmonary artery (semi Lunar valve) to lungs

- same time, oxy blood from lungs enters LA from pulmonary vein, bicuspid opens so LV also fills, once both full, LA contracts, forcing all blood to LV

- Bicuspid closes as LV contracts fully, blood through semi lunar to aorta

- wall of LV thicker than RV, Lungs close to heart (short distance), while LV pumps all around body

- septum (inner dividing wall of heart prevents mixing of oxy/deoxy blood)
