Blood Pressure Impulses Medulla Heart Decreases Rate Sends
Front |
baroreceptors in blood vessels |
Back |
- if blood pressure too high, impulses sent to medulla which decreases heart rate, medulla sends impulses along parasympathetic NS to SAN which decreases heart rate and returns blood pressure to normal
- if blood pressure too low, impulses sent to medulla which increases heart rate, medulla sends impulses along sympathetic NS to SAN which increase heart rate and returns blood pressure to normal
