Caused Insulin Glucose Cells Type Diabetes Controlled Beta

Front What is type 2 diabetes, what is it caused by and how is it controlled?
Back either caused by Beta cells not forming enough insulin or cells not responding properly to insulin (so less glucose taken up by cells, therefore higher blood glucose levels)

caused by physical inactivity or excessive overeating

controlled by regulating carb intake and matching it to excecise levels (encouraging excercise), drugs sometimes used (stimulate insulin prod, slow rate of absorption of glucose from intestines or inject insulin)
