Caused Insulin Glucose Cells Type Diabetes Controlled Beta

Type 2 diabetes is caused by insufficient insulin production or poor cell response to insulin, often due to physical inactivity or overeating, and is controlled by diet, exercise, and sometimes medication or insulin.

O diabetes tipo 2 é causado pela produção insuficiente de insulina ou pela má resposta das células à insulina, muitas vezes devido à inatividade física ou excesso de comida, e é controlado por dieta, exercício e, às vezes, medicamentos ou insulina.

Front What is type 2 diabetes, what is it caused by and how is it controlled?
Back either caused by Beta cells not forming enough insulin or cells not responding properly to insulin (so less glucose taken up by cells, therefore higher blood glucose levels)

caused by physical inactivity or excessive overeating

controlled by regulating carb intake and matching it to excecise levels (encouraging excercise), drugs sometimes used (stimulate insulin prod, slow rate of absorption of glucose from intestines or inject insulin)
