Cilia Sensory Cells Microtubules Pairs Flagella 2.1.1(g Mobility

Front Flagella and cilia 2.1.1(g)
Back
-flagella used for mobility and a sensory organ(detecting changes in external environment)
-cilia mobile or stationary
-stationary present on surface of many cells and also important in sensory organs
-mobile beat in a rythmatic manner, creating current, pushing objects/fluids e.g mucus and egg cells
-each cilium have 2 central microtubules surround by 9 pairs of microtubules(like a wheel), called 9+2 arrangement, pairs of microtubules slide over each other causing movement of cilia
