Random Sample Strata Systematic Smaple Line Transect Non Random

Non-random sampling techniques include opportunistic, stratified, and systematic sampling. Transects (line or belt) are used to study species changes across habitats.

العينات غير العشوائية تشمل العينات العرضية والمطبقة والمنتظمة. تُستخدم تقنيات مثل خطوط القياس أو نطاقات القياس لدراسة كيفية تغير الأنواع عبر منطقة معينة.

Back
non random
- sample not chosen at random, 3 main techniques;
 - opportunistic (uses organisms that are conveniently available)
 - stratified (pops divided into number of strata based on particular characteristic, and random sample then taken from each strata proportional to size
 - systematic (diff areas within overall habitat identified, which are then smaple on, carried out using line/belt transect, systematic typically used to study how species change as you move from one pole to another

- line transect marks line along ground between 2 poles and taking samples at specific points, belt transect provides more info as 2 parralel lines marked, and smaple taken of area between 2 lines
