Refractory Action Period Period/Hyperpolarisation Pot Axon Exited Short

The refractory period is a short time after an action potential during which the neuron cannot be excited again, ensuring unidirectional impulse propagation without overlap.

Front refractory period/hyperpolarisation
Back after action pot, theres a refractory period (axon cant get exited for short period), VGNa+ channels close to prevent Na+ entering axon, refractory period prevents propogation of action pot backwards and forwards (so its unidirectional, doesnt overlap and has distinct impulses)
