Back ● Solitary, well demarcated, flat darkly pigmented subretinal plaque ● Usually between 1-19 mm ● Non-hereditary and sporadic ● Areas of depigmentation = lacuna ● Mild growth can be seen ● Cells are taller than normal RPE ● Densely packed with large, spherical melanin pigment granules ● Hyperplasia and hypertrophy
