Back ● Three main layers (inner to outer) ○ Choriocapillaris ○ Stroma ○ Lamina fusca (suprachoroidal layer) ● Can also be divided as follows: ○ Bruch’s membrane ○ Vascular layers (choriocapillaris, Sattler’s layer - medium sized vessels, Haller’s layer - large vessels) ● The choroid is thickest in the posterior pole (0.25 mm) and thinnest anteriorly and peripherally (0.10 to 0.15 mm)
