Back ● Granulation tissue typically associated with chalazia or after previous ocular surgery (pterygium removal or strabismus) or surrounding leftover foreign bodies ● Typically occurs 3-4 weeks after surgery ● Histology: mixture of acute and chronic inflammatory cells with capillaries in a spoke-wheel pattern ● Treatment: topical or intralesional steroids. If refractory, cautery to base and frequent postoperative steroids
