Question

And he turned away from them and said, ''Oh, my sorrow over Joseph,'' and his eyes became white[614] from grief, for he was [of that] a suppressor.[615] وَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَسَفَىٰ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ وَٱبْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ ٱلْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ 84

Accepted Answer

[614] i.e., he lost his sight.[615] He did not express the extent of his grief or his anger at what he suspected his sons had done but was patient, depending only upon Allāh for help. Yusuf Part 13

Translation	And he turned away from them and said, ''Oh, my sorrow over Joseph,'' and his eyes became white[614] from grief, for he was [of that] a suppressor.[615]
