Golgi Apparatus Nucleus Flat Sacs Membranes Stacked Pancakes

The Golgi apparatus modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and lipids received from the ER for secretion or delivery to other organelles.

The Golgi apparatus, a stack of membrane-bound sacs, receives, modifies, packages, and exports products from the rough ER via vesicles.

Front Golgi Apparatus
Back - near nucleus
- are flat sacs of membranes stacked (pancakes), surrounded by vesicles
- modify, store, and package what the rough ER produces
- exports things to cell and outside
