Plant Dermal Tissue Outer Protective Covering Leaves Protected

Dermal plant tissue constitutes the plant's outer protective covering, on leaves shielded by a cuticle and sometimes trichomes. Generally, it lacks chloroplasts and cannot photosynthesize, with the exception of guard cells.
