Jane 은/는 Subjects Mentioned Marked 제인이 나를 피해요

Front 제인이 나를 피해요. 제인은 시간이 없거나 돈이 없다고 해요
Back Jane is avoiding me. Jane says she either has no time or money
Notes While -은/는 can be used with any noun or phrase, it is most commonly used to topicalize subjects like the -이/가 particle. The speaker should pay attention to use the topic marker only with subjects that have already been mentioned earlier. A new subject is marked with -이/가; if this subject is mentioned later, it should come marked with -은/는 as a pre-established topic.
