Notes | The -(으)ㄴ/는데 marked message provides a piece of background information and thus can be used to justify a command, proposal or suggestion. In this usage, the principle acts similar to the clausal connective -(으)니까. However, -(으)ㄴ/는데 marks the clause containing a relevant background information that justifies the request or the proposal. Whereas -(으)니까 marks the direct reason for the imperative message conveyed by the second clause. |
