Amylase State Substrates Products Enzymes Catalase Trypsin Examples

Catalase converts hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen, amylase digests starch into maltose, and trypsin hydrolyzes proteins into peptides.

Catalase breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen; amylase breaks down starch into maltose; and trypsin breaks down proteins into peptides.

Front State the substrates and products of enzymes catalase, amylase and trypsin.

Examples of enzymes:
  • Amylase ( starch ⟶ maltose)
  • Trypsin (proteins ⟶ peptides)
  • Catalase (hydrogen peroxide ⟶ water + oxygen)
