The compensation point is the light intensity at which the rate of photosynthesis equals the rate of respiration. It can be determined by recording carbon dioxide uptake at varying light intensities and plotting a line of best fit; where uptake is zero is the compensation point.
Il punto di compensazione è l'intensità luminosa alla quale la velocità della fotosintesi eguaglia la velocità di respirazione. Può essere determinato registrando l'assorbimento di anidride carbonica a diverse intensità luminose e tracciando una linea di migliore adattamento; il punto in cui l'assorbimento è zero è il punto di compensazione.
