Sterols, like cholesterol, are complex alcohol molecules based on four carbon rings with a hydroxyl group at one end; the hydroxyl end is hydrophilic, and the rest is hydrophobic.
Los esteroles, como el colesterol, son moléculas complejas basadas en cuatro anillos de carbono con un grupo hidroxilo en un extremo, siendo hidrofílicos en ese extremo y el resto hidrofóbico.
