Information Cerebellum Muscular Movement Control Balance Desribe Role

The cerebellum controls muscular movement, posture, and balance, rather than initiating movement. It receives input from balance organs and proprioceptors, relaying it to motor control areas in the cerebral cortex.

El cerebelo no inicia el movimiento, sino que controla la coordinación muscular, la postura y el equilibrio. Recibe información del oído interno y de los receptores de tono muscular y la transmite a las áreas de control motor de la corteza cerebral.

Front Desribe the role of the cerebellum in coordinated muscular movement.
Back Cerebellum & muscle coordination:
  • It does not initiate movement, it is concerned with control of muscular movement, posture & balance
  • It receives information from organs of balance in ears and information about tone of muscles and tendons & relays this information to areas of cerebral cortex involved in motor control
